Captiv8
What is Captiv8?
- Captiv8 is 100% activated carbon in textile form.
- Is composed of fine carbon fibres that have a similar diameter to powder.
- Has a high level of pore development, which can be tailored to meet specific applications. Typically Captiv8 is predominantly microporous, but materials with levels of mesoporosity can be supplied.
- Has high capacity and fast adsorption kinetics. Therefore Captiv8 provides high purity filtration and requires less bed depth than other adsorbent materials.
- Provides high efficiency removal of contaminants from gas or liquid streams.
- Provides effective adsorption under humid conditions.
- Can be supplied in various formats; woven, knitted or non-woven. Captiv8 fibres and yarns can also be supplied.
- Has the benefits of textile properties i.e ease of handling, can be cut laminated, sewn and shaped.
- Is electrically conductive.
- Can be impregnated to improve properties in specific applications.
- Can be supplied with specific surface properties for use as a catalyst support.
